RSS & Atom feeds

Your status page can publish incidents and maintenances as a feed, so customers can follow updates in a feed reader without subscribing with their email or phone number.

Both formats carry the same history — pick whichever your feed reader or internal tooling prefers.

Enable the feeds

Login to Instatus from instatus.com/login then choose your status page.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Turn on RSS & Atom
  3. Click Save

One toggle controls both formats. RSS and Atom will now show up in the Get updates menu on your status page.

Feed URLs

your-status-page-url/history.atom

Examples are https://instat.us/history.rss and https://instat.us/history.atom

Each item is one incident or maintenance, newest first, and includes its affected components, its duration once it's over, and every update posted to it.

If RSS & Atom is turned off, both feeds return a 404. On a private page, they're only served to visitors who can already access the page.
