They can allow attackers to run code on the server without logging in. All PHP versions are affected, regardless of the application \(e.g. WordPress, TYPO3, Shopware\). What we have already done We installed the officially fixed PHP versions on all servers with managed service: * PHP 8.2.35 * PHP 8.3.36 * PHP 8.4.27 * PHP 8.5.12 Websites running PHP 8.2 or newer are protected. No action is needed on your side. PHP 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1 Plesk has announced fixed packages for these versions but has not released them yet. Until then we apply the officially recommended mitigation \(disabling session.upload\_progress\). As soon as the packages are available, we will install them and update this notice. PHP 7.3 and older There will be no fix for these versions, neither from PHP nor from Plesk. We apply the mitigation here as well. It reduces the risk but does not close the vulnerability. Affected websites remain vulnerable until they are switched to a current PHP version. Our recommendation Switch all websites running PHP 8.1 or older to PHP 8.3 or newer, in Plesk under "Websites & Domains > PHP". Please check first that your application is compatible with the new version. PHP 8.2 only receives security updates until 31.12.2026, so we recommend switching those websites soon as well.
