   **AUTODESK EVENT ANALYSIS** **Incident Number:** #COESOC-23836 **Incident Date:** September 01, 2026 ‌ **Summary** On September 1, 2026, between 09:09 AM PDT and 09:35 AM PDT, Autodesk experienced a service outage that prevented customers from accessing Autodesk account. ‌ **Impacted Services** * Autodesk account ‌ **Root Cause** * Optimizations to the systems that manage and deploy cloud services resulted in an unintended impact to Autodesk account, causing it to be inaccessible to customers. * Autodesk resolved the incident by reversing the change. It took a short time for the reversal to take full effect, after which access to Autodesk account was restored. ‌ **Autodesk Actions** Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following: * Safeguards to the automated deployment system to prevent it from unintentionally removing critical configurations. * Updates to the change management process to ensure similar changes are rolled out gradually during lower-traffic periods, reducing the likelihood of recurrence. ‌ Thank you for your patience and understanding.
