# Multi-language support

Instatus lets you communicate in the languages of your customers. You can choose a default language and offer additional languages for visitors to switch between.

## Enable multiple languages

1. Open your status page and go to **Status page → Language**.
2. Select your default language from the list.
3. Click **Add language** to include extra languages on your page.
4. (Optional) Upload a custom translation file if you need a language we don't provide.

Your page will now include a language switcher so visitors can view your status in their preferred language.
