Make your status page private

Instatus supports private status pages. You may limit access to your page to logged in teammates or by allowing certain IP addresses. You may want to do this if you want to use your status page for internal communication inside your organization.

Login to your status page at instatus.com/login then choose your status page.

You'll need to have a Private Pro or Business plan in order to be able to make your status page private.

If you already have a Pro or Business plan you may skip the first step.

  1. Go to Upgrade and switch to either Private Pro or Business plan.
    Switch plan
  2. After upgrading go to Settings → Privacy.
  3. Turn 'Make your status page private' on
    Change Settings
  4. Here you have three options
    • Logged in teammates will only allow members of your team to access the status page using their email addresses.
    • Allowed IP addresses will only allow certain IPs to access the page and you'll be able to add Allowed IP addresses.
    • If you choose both options, only one of them will be needed to access the status page.
      Choose privacy option
  5. Choose how you want to make your status page private and click 'Save', it may take a couple of minutes for changes to take effect.
Congrats! Now your status page is private 🥳
